STONE + SALT JEWELRY

Do you love gold as much as I do?

Are you the kind of person who wants jewelry you can wear every single day, whether you're hiking a trail, catching waves, traveling the world, or just living your life?

Do you crave pieces that are minimalist, durable, and timeless, not trendy or delicate?

Are you drawn to quality over quantity, and tired of jewelry that tarnishes, breaks, or sits in a drawer because it doesn't feel like you?

If you just said yes, welcome. You're in the right place.

I'm Lizzie, and I design jewelry for people like us.

I've been a Fire Captain and Paramedic in Jackson Hole since 2011. But at 43, I'm thinking about what comes next. I don't want to be running into burning buildings forever.

Jewelry design started as a way to use the creative side of my brain, but it's become something bigger: a path forward, a business I'm building intentionally so that one day, I can step away from the fire service and into this work full-time.

Stone + Salt: Mountains and Ocean

I moved to Jackson Hole in 2005 for what was supposed to be one winter of snowboarding before law school. Twenty years later, I'm still here, and I can't imagine being anywhere else. The Tetons aren't just a backdrop; they're woven into everything I create. My signature pieces are carved from wax, capturing the raw, rugged beauty of these mountains, then cast by a trusted partner and finished by hand in my Jackson Hole studio.

But here's what most people don't know: I'm a mountain person with an ocean soul.

I grew up on the water. My dad had a sailboat and a Boston Whaler, and we spent every summer deep sea fishing, body surfing, and chasing waves on boogie boards. The ocean was my first love. When I moved to the Tetons, I fell hard for the mountains, but I couldn't shake the pull of the sea.

So I taught myself to surf. First in Costa Rica. Then Bali after paramedic school, where I spent two weeks at surf camp as a gift to myself. Nosara for my 40th birthday. Sayulita for my bachelorette. Every chance I get, I'm back in the water, chasing waves.

That's why I named this brand Stone + Salt.

Stone for the mountains that ground me every day.
Salt for the ocean I carry with me, even when I'm landlocked.

My wave rings and bracelets are designed to resemble sets of surf waves: a reminder of the rhythm and freedom of the water, no matter how far inland you are.

Handmade. Heirloom Quality. Built to Last.

Every piece is handcrafted in my Jackson Hole studio using traditional metalsmithing techniques: lost-wax casting, fabrication, stone setting, and wire wrapping. I work exclusively in demi-fine materials: gold vermeil (sterling silver with a thick layer of 14k gold) and gold-filled.These materials offer the warmth and durability of gold without the $2,000 price tag, making heirloom-quality jewelry accessible for everyday wear.

My goal is to continue expanding into fine jewelry, working in solid gold as I grow, and deepening my skills in techniques like engraving and advanced stone setting.

I design jewelry for people like me: Active, outdoorsy, and drawn to quality over trends. People who want pieces they can wear every single day. Minimalist, durable, and timeless. Jewelry that feels as good as it looks.

My Hope for You

When you wear Stone + Salt, I hope you feel grounded, confident, and connected to something bigger than yourself. Whether it's a celebration, a milestone, or just treating yourself because you deserve it, I want my jewelry to be part of your story.

I'm constantly learning and evolving as a maker. Every class I take, every new technique I master, brings me closer to the vision I have for Stone + Salt: a collection of heirloom-quality pieces that honor both craftsmanship and the natural world.

Thank you for being here.
